case management

At Lifelong Solutions, our sober coaching program is dedicated to equipping individuals with the tools and support necessary to cultivate a healthy lifestyle in recovery. We believe that lasting change begins with healthy habits, and helping our clients develop these habits is a central focus of our coaching. Recovery is built upon connection and accountability, and our program provides the space and support for individuals to grow, thrive, and reach their recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities of a Sober Coach

At Lifelong Solutions, our sober coaches provide personalized support tailored to each client’s unique needs. Coaches work closely with clients to create and implement individualized recovery plans, utilize effective coping strategies for managing triggers, and maintain healthy lifestyle routines. Through one-on-one guidance, our coaches help clients feel supported, understood, and guided throughout their recovery journey.

One of the primary roles of a sober coach is to help clients set realistic, achievable goals. These goals can be related to sobriety, career, education, relationships, or personal growth. Sober coaches work with clients to create actionable plans, track progress, and celebrate achievements, fostering a sense of accomplishment and motivation.

Accountability is essential to a successful recovery. Sober coaches play a key role by offering consistent check-ins and continuous support, helping clients stay focused and dedicated to their sobriety goals. Through constructive feedback and positive reinforcement, they ensure clients stay motivated and on course throughout their journey.

Recovery is not just about abstaining from substances; it’s about building a fulfilling, balanced life. Sober coaches assist clients in developing essential life skills such as time management, effective communication, problem-solving, and stress management. These skills are vital for long-term success and help clients navigate the challenges of everyday life.

In moments of crisis or temptation, sober coaches are there to provide immediate support. They are trained to handle emergencies and can offer practical strategies to manage cravings, cope with emotional distress, and avoid relapse. Their timely intervention can make a significant difference in maintaining sobriety during difficult times.

Sober coaches connect clients with valuable resources within and outside of Lifelong Solutions. This can include support groups, educational programs, employment opportunities, and community services. By helping clients build a robust support network, sober coaches enhance their clients’ chances of long-term success.

The BENEFITS of RECOVERY AND LIFE COACHING

Increased Confidence and Self-Efficacy

By achieving small, incremental goals with the help of a sober coach, clients build confidence in their ability to maintain sobriety and handle life’s challenges. This increased self-efficacy is crucial for sustaining long-term recovery.

Enhanced Motivation and Commitment

The regular check-ins and accountability provided by a sober coach help clients stay motivated and committed to their recovery goals. Knowing that someone is there to support and encourage them can make a significant difference in maintaining focus and determination.

Improved Quality of Life

With the help of a sober coach, clients learn to develop healthier habits, improve their relationships, and pursue their personal and professional goals. This leads to an overall improvement in their quality of life, making sobriety a more attractive and sustainable choice.

Stronger Coping Mechanisms

Sober coaches teach clients effective coping strategies to manage stress, avoid triggers, and handle difficult emotions. These skills are essential for preventing relapse and building resilience in recovery.

Better Integration into Society

Sober coaches help clients reintegrate into their communities, whether through finding employment, continuing education, or engaging in social activities. This sense of belonging and purpose is vital for sustaining long-term sobriety.

Faqs

Our coaches work with substance abuse clients and individuals looking for support through a life coaching capacity that are feeling stuck in life, but don’t have a substance use issue. A lot of the work revolves around self-care, understanding limiting patterns and beliefs, and creating action plans to meet goals.

Our coaches meet their clients in a variety of places depending on the needs of the client. Our coaches meet them in their homes, at local coffee shops, take them on hikes, the grocery store, or wherever else they need support. The location is individualized based on each client’s needs.

Unfortunately, currently we are not able to get reimbursement through insurance companies.  The fees are out of pocket.

A sponsor helps their sponsee through a 12-step fellowship, whether that’s Alcoholics Anonymous, Narcotics Anonymous, or any other 12-step fellowship. Those programs were designed by recovering alcoholics or addicts and have a distinct set of steps to work through in a peer to peer capacity.  A therapist works with clients on their trauma, family systems, and other clinical capacities, a large focus is on the past.  Sober or recovery coaches are more future focused with a tendency to focus on staying in action, completing tasks to support a larger goal.  It is important for the coach to understand an individual’s past, but it isn’t within their scope of practice to work through someone’s trauma.  Each role is different and serves an important role in treating substance abuse or mental health challenges.

This is individualized to what the client’s needs are, though a typical cadence is one, hour-long meeting in person each week. The coach also connects over text with their client to create accountability and follow up on action plans when they aren’t meeting.
